The Texas Stars evened the Calder Cup Finals with a 3-2 win against the Toronto Marlies in Game 4 at H-E-B Center at Cedar Park on Thursday.
Justin Dowling scored with 10:02 left in the third period to give Texas a 3-2 lead. Curtis McKenzie scored twice for Texas. He made it 1-0 10:50 into the first period and 2-0 6:00 into the second. Toronto scored twice in 40 seconds to tie it 2-2. Dmytro Timashov scored at 16:11 before Andreas Johnsson at 16:51. Mike McKenna made 29 saves for Texas. Garret Sparks made 15 for Toronto, which has lost two of three after winning 10 in a row. Game 5 of the best-of-7 American Hockey League championship series is Saturday at Texas.
