Welcome to the Stanley Cup Playoffs Buzz, a daily look at the 2018 NHL postseason.

The teams were at this very point five years ago, and the Bruins became the first team to erase a three-goal deficit in the third period in a Game 7 victory. Center Patrice Bergeron scored the tying and winning goals in a 5-4 overtime victory.
Bergeron, defensemen Zdeno Chara and Adam McQuaid, forwards David Krejci and Brad Marchand and goalies Tuukka Rask and Anton Khudobin remain for the Bruins from that historic night. Four Maple Leafs players remain: defenseman Jake Gardiner and forwards James van Riemsdyk, Nazem Kadri and Leo Komarov, who has not played since sustaining a lower-body injury in Game 2. He was cleared to play Tuesday, but it is unclear if he will be in the lineup Wednesday.
Boston made one lineup change for Game 7; forward Danton Heinen will replace Tommy Wingels.

About last night

There were no games on Tuesday; the six teams that already have qualified for the second round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs continue their preparation for their next opponents. It all begins Thursday, with Game 1 between the Washington Capitals and Pittsburgh Penguins in the Eastern Conference Second Round and Game 1 between the San Jose Sharks and Vegas Golden Knights in the Western Conference Second Round.
