MIN@NSH: Predators present vet with new wheelchair

Nick Bonino and the Nashville Predators helped one wounded veteran's life get a little bit easier.

Stephen Schroeder was given an all-terrain wheelchair from the Predators, who presented the gift to him after their morning skate on Tuesday.

The Predators are honoring veterans for military week, and Bonino presented the new chair in front of Schroeder's family and the team before its home game against the Minnesota Wild.
"As a team, we want to thank you for everything you do," Bonino said to Schroeder in a video posted on Twitter. "We understand the sacrifice and what you guys go through, which is amazing. We all want to be here to see you get the new chair."
Schroeder, who served in Iraq and Afghanistan as an Army Chief Warrant Officer, was injured in a helicopter crash during training activities near Fort Campbell, Kentucky. The Predators met Schroeder, then lifted him into his new chair to test it out. They then invited him and his family back for the Predators 5-4 win that night.
