domingue

New York Rangers goalie Louis Domingue is new in town and he is taking recommendations.

The veteran netminder, heading into his 9th NHL season, wants to know where he can get some good spicy pork in the Big Apple.

Domingue's post was a call back to the 2022 Stanley Cup Playoffs, where he came off the bench to lead the Pittsburgh Penguins to a triple overtime victory in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference First Round against the very Rangers he signed with this week.

After that game, where he relieved an injured Casey DeSmith about halfway through the second overtime period and made 17 saves, Domingue revealed he had a spicy pork and broccoli meal between the first and second overtime.

The story quickly became something of legend. The Penguins even served the media spicy pork and broccoli before Game 3, their first home game of the series.

Now the Saint-Hyacinthe, Quebec native is just looking for a restaurant where he can regain the magic if needed.

It won't be Domingue's first stay in the Metropolitan area [he played 16 games for the New Jersey Devils during the 2019-20 season], but he hardly had enough time to get to know the best dining spots.
