Nashville Predators all-star defenseman P.K. Subban had his work cut out for him, trying to score on New York Rangers goalie Henrik Lundqvist during the GIECO Save Streak event, so he went to a classic playground move.
As Subban approached Lundqvist, he loosened his right glove and threw it wide of the net to try and get the goalie to turn his head.
No dice though. Lundqvist didn't bite and Subban's between-the-legs attempt sailed high.
In an interview with Jeremy Roenick of NBC Sports after the competition, Subban said he wanted to tell Lundqvist ahead of time he would do something unconventional. Subban also said he was also told that even if he had scored, it would not have counted, as in-game shootout rules apply during the event.
Nevertheless, Subban created one of the funniest and most memorable moments of the night.
