Elliott, who has not played since making 19 saves in a 3-2 win at the Detroit Red Wings on Jan. 23, will try to help Philadelphia end a four-game losing streak (0-3-1) after going 8-1-0 in their previous nine games.
The Flyers are one point behind the New York Islanders for the second wild card into the Stanley Cup Playoffs from the Eastern Conference, and lead the Hurricanes by one point. Philadelphia has played one fewer game than Carolina.
Goaltender Cam Ward will start for the Hurricanes, who have lost two straight following a three-game winning streak. Carolina has scored two goals or fewer in six of their past seven games.
