Senators defenseman faces discipline from NHL for boarding Kings forward Tyler Toffoli

Ottawa Senators defenseman Mark Borowiecki will have a telephone hearing with the NHL Department of Player Safety on Sunday for boarding Los Angeles Kings forward Tyler Toffoli.

The incident occurred at 2:38 of the first period of the game at Staples Center. Borowiecki received a major penalty for boarding.

The Kings defeated the Senators 4-1.
The following grounds are being considered for supplemental discipline: boarding. However, the Department of Player Safety retains the right to make adjustments to the infraction upon review.
