GLENDALE, Ariz. -- Arizona Coyotes defenseman Oliver Ekman-Larsson sustained a lower-body injury in the first period against the St. Louis Blues on Saturday and will not return.
Ekman-Larsson, who has a career-high 45 points (including 17 goals), was penalized for tripping Blues forward Vladimir Tarasenko 42 seconds into the game and was apparently hurt during the play. He was helped to the dressing room and the penalty was served by teammate Kyle Chipchura.

Ekman-Larsson returned to the bench and skated one shift before going back to the dressing room with members of the Coyotes training staff.
