Ritchie fined for actions in Ducks game against Sabres

Defenseman assessed $4,121.86 for roughing Sobotka

NEW YORK - Anaheim Ducks forward Nick Ritchie has been fined $4,121.86, the maximum allowable under the Collective Bargaining Agreement, for roughing Buffalo Sabres forward Vladimir Sobotka during NHL Game No. 96 in Anaheim on Wednesday, Oct. 16, the National Hockey League's Department of Player Safety announced today.

The incident occurred at 15:57 of the second period. Ritchie was assessed two minor penalties for roughing.

The money goes to the Players' Emergency Assistance Fund.
