van-Riemsdyk 10-19

Getting a high-five from a player is a goal of most young fans who attend an NHL game, but one lucky Toronto Maple Leafs fan got the high-five and an extra surprise Wednesday thanks to Toronto forward James van Riemsdyk.

As the Maple Leafs exited the ice after the warmup for their game against the Winnipeg Jets, four Toronto fans extended their hands to high-five their favorite team's players. Van Riemsdyk exited the ice holding a puck and offered it to the young fans, and the boy in the khaki Maple Leafs hat became the fortunate recipient.
Karma was on van Riemsdyk's side for his kind gesture. He picked up an assist on Connor Carrick's first-period goal that put the Maple Leafs ahead of the Jets.
