The Lightning and Devils are set to meet for just the second time so far this season.
Both teams have been inconsistent as of late. The Devils are currently riding a two-game winning streak after dropping four straight. The Lightning, meanwhile, played well in a 4-1 win over Detroit on Thursday but lost both halves of a back-to-back at the beginning of the week.

Kyle Palmieri scored the only goal in the shootout and had a goal in the first period for the Devils.
