Islanders Pucks and Paws

If you loved the the New York Islanders'
photoshoot with dogs
from last month, you'll be excited to know they unveiled their official Pucks and Paws calendar on Wednesday and the calendar will be available to the public starting Nov. 25.

Rescued dogs wearing Islanders jerseys, defensemen Nick Leddy and Calvin de Haan and goalie Thomas Greiss were all at the Empire State Building for the reveal party to promote the calendar. Funds of calendar sales will go to the North Shore Animal League of America, the world's largest no-kill rescue and adoption center.

The event also caught the attention of "Good Morning America," which has been raising awareness about the importance of pet rescue through its Mission PAWSible initiative.

Calendars will be available at the Islanders website and the North Shore Animal League website, animalleague.org.
