Moore signs 2-year contract with Ducks

Defenseman could have become restricted free agent July 1

Ian Moore signed a two-year contract with the Anaheim Ducks on Thursday. Financial terms were not disclosed.

The 24-year-old defenseman. had career highs in games (67), goals (four), assists (eight), points (12) shots on goal (66) and time on ice per game (13:38) this season. He could have become a restricted free agent on July 1.

He had one goal in 10 Stanley Cup Playoff games for the Ducks, who qualified for the postseason for the first time since 2018.

Selected in the third round (No. 67) of the 2020 NHL Draft, Moore has 13 points (four goals, nine assists) in 70 regular-season games.
