The Dallas Stars meet the Ottawa Senators on Friday night at American Airlines Center for the second of two games during the 2018-19 campaign. Dallas is riding five-game winless skid vs. Ottawa (0-3-2) and looking to record a victory against the Senators for the first time since March 6, 2016 (W, 2-1 at Canadian Tire Centre). In the first game of the season series, the Senators defeated the Stars, 4-1, on Oct. 15, 2018. Defenseman John Klingberg potted the lone goal (1-0=1) for the Stars with forwards Jason Spezza (0-1=1) and Alexander Radulov (0-1=1) adding assists. On special teams, the Stars were 1-of-4 on the power play and were a perfect 2-for-2 on the penalty kill. On home ice, the Stars have gone winless in the last three games (0-2-1) to the Senators, which is the club's longest active home losing streak to any NHL club (last win: 5-4, Jan. 13, 2015). Last season at American Airlines Center on March 5, 2018, Ottawa defeated Dallas in overtime, 3-2. Center Tyler Seguin potted both of the team's goals (2-0=2). Three Stars players added an assist including Radulov (0-1=1) and Mattias Janmark (0-1=1) and Klingberg (0-1=1).
