Lundqvist says he feels strong four weeks after heart surgery

shared an encouraging messaging during his recovery from heart surgery.

The Washington Capitals goalie posted a video where he told fans he's feeling good a month after the procedure and two weeks after he was released from the hospital.
"I was not sure what to expect the first month after surgery. (Four) weeks today and I feel strong. Both body and mind filled with positive energy. Recovery is going well," he wrote in his social media posts.
The accompanying video shows Lundqvist on the streets of New York City, where he has been staying with his family following his ascending aortic replacement in Cleveland.

"What's up, guys?" Lundqvist said in the video. "Checking in. I'm in snowy New York City. It's been a month today since the surgery, and I feel good. Good energy, moving around. Hope you guys are well."
Lundqvist has been updating fans on his health through social media messages since his announcement that he would not be able to play this season because of his heart condition.
He signed a one-year, $1.5 million contract with the Capitals on Oct. 9 after the New York Rangers bought out the final year of his contract on Sept. 30. Lundqvist had spent his first 15 seasons in the NHL with the Rangers.
