BostonBruins.com - It has been quite a week for Bruins prospect Ryan Donato. The Harvard sophomore started with a four-goal performance on Friday night against Union and finished things Monday with a highlight-reel tally in the Crimson's 6-3 win over Boston University for the program's first Beanpot title since 1993.

His four-goal output against Union earned him ECAC Player of the Week honors (the Beanpot does not count toward league stats). Donato scored Harvard's first two and final two goals - both empty-netters, one shorthanded - to lift the third-ranked Crimson to 6-2 win.

In the Beanpot final, Donato picked up a loose puck off a turnover near the BU blue line, before scurrying down the right wing. Donato then cut to the net, weaved around two Terriers and beat BU goalie Jake Oettinger to give Harvard a 5-2 lead with 7:13 remaining.
"It all happened so fast," Donato said following the game Monday night. "When the puck went in the net, it took me a little bit to realize that I scored."
Donato, a 2014 second-round pick of the Bruins, leads Harvard with 16 goals and sits fifth with 26 points in 25 games this season.
