With his Boston Celtics jacket and Tom Brady black glove, Massachusetts native Jimmy Hayes was dressed for the occasion.
The New Jersey Devils forward polled his teammates on their Super Bowl picks, but was really hoping they'd all say the New England Patriots would beat the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday.
And for the most part, he got that. Then he got to the New Yorkers in the room. Defenseman Steven Santini, from Bronxville, N.Y. and goalie Keith Kinkaid from Farmingville, N.Y. were ready for Hayes with a couple of zingers.
Hayes took it like a champ, though. And he may just get the last laugh by the end of the weekend.
