Red Wings at Lions camp split

Lucas Raymond was probably just listening for his name.

The Detroit Red Wings stopped by Detroit Lions training camp to say hello to some of their NFL counterparts and Raymond might have been feeling a little left out at one point.

Red Wings defenseman Moritz Seider and Lions wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown caught up on some pleasantries but the conversation took place entirely in German.

Seider, who was born in Zell, chatted it up in his native tongue with St. Brown, a fluent speaker whose mother is from Leverkusen.

Raymond, at a loss what to add to the conversation, simply said "good talk," to the pair.

Later in the video, Seider and Raymond both spoke (in English) with Lions quarterback Jared Goff.

The clip ended with Raymond putting a quick bear hug on a nearby heavy bag, because, after all, hockey training camp will be opening soon enough.
