The Coyotes are seeking their first four-game winning streak of the season following one-goal wins against the New Jersey Devils (5-4 on Saturday), Colorado Avalanche (1-0 on Monday) and Los Angeles Kings (3-2 on Tuesday in an 11-round shootout). Goaltender Mike Smith will start after Louis Domingue made 44 saves against the Kings. A victory would give Smith 127 wins with the Coyotes, one behind Bob Essensa for second place and three behind Ilya Bryzgalov for first on the franchise's all-time list. Max Domi had two goals against the Kings. "He's really playing at that high level we're used to," coach Dave Tippett said. "He had a slow start and then he had the injury (broken hand), but now he's back to where he's around the puck and you notice him even if he's not scoring." Forward Teemu Pulkkinen, who scored in his only game with the Coyotes on March 2 against the Buffalo Sabres, will be in the lineup against the Red Wings, who selected him in the fourth round (No. 111) of the 2010 NHL Draft. "He's worked hard, he's fit in with the group well and he's excited to play against his old team," Tippett said.
