The 22-year-old Timmins recorded seven assists and eight penalty minutes (PIM) in 31 regular season games with the Colorado Avalanche in 2020-21. He also played in 10 Stanley Cup Playoff contests with the Avalanche and tallied 1-3-4 and four PIM in six games with the Colorado Eagles (AHL) this season.

The 6-foot-2, 188-pound defenseman has totaled 0-7-7 and eight PIM in 33 career NHL games as well as 4-27-31 and 42 PIM in 46 career AHL appearances.
The St. Catharines, ON native played for the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds (OHL) from 2015-18. He posted 19-96-115, a plus-98 rating and 132 PIM in 163 games with the Greyhounds.
Timmins represented Canada at the 2018 IIHF World Junior Championship and registered 1-4-5 in seven games to help his country win the gold medal.
Timmins was drafted by the Avalanche in the second round (32nd overall) in the 2017 NHL Entry Draft. He was acquired by the Coyotes along with a 2022 first round draft choice and a conditional 2024 third round draft choice from Colorado in exchange for goaltender Darcy Kuemper on July 28, 2021.
