Ryan Spooner scored 34 seconds into overtime to give the Boston Bruins a 2-1 preseason win against the Detroit Red Wings on Friday.
Boston forward Danton Heinen scored with 7:29 left in the third period to tie the game. Bruins goalie Anton Khudobin made 35 saves. Riley Sheahan scored a power-play goal 5:24 into the second period for Detroit, and Jimmy Howard made 24 saves.
