Veteran forward, Minnesota native joins Wild crowd in football ritual

Winnipeg Jets forward Blake Wheeler participated in the Vikings' "Skol" chant at Xcel Energy Center while on the bench in the third period against the Minnesota Wild. Wheeler, a native of Plymouth, Minnesota, couldn't contain himself when the fans started the chant in anticipation of the Minnesota Vikings' NFL playoff game against the New Orleans Saints on Sunday. It was hardly a first for Wheeler. "We do it every game," he said. "We got a couple Scandinavians on our team and Matt Hendricks is a Minnesota guy so we get a little Skol going before every game."
