Sam Steel and Cam Fowler scored in the second period to help the Anaheim Ducks to a 4-2 win against the Arizona Coyotes at Honda Center.
Carter Rowney and Max Comtois also scored, and John Gibson made 29 saves for Anaheim. Richard Panik and Brendan Perlini scored for Arizona, which went 2-for-3 on the power play. Darcy Kuemper made 24 saves. The Ducks outshot the Coyotes 16-7 in the second period but were outshot 18-2 in the third. Ducks coach Randy Carlyle said after the game that forward Corey Perry was under evaluation after being removed from the lineup after warmups. No further information was given.
