Aside from a 26-second stretch in the final minute where he allowed a pair of goals, Andrei Vasilevskiy was brilliant between the pipes. Vasilevskiy finished with 30 saves, nine of which came in the extra session.
Point led all Lightning skaters with two points, the overtime-winner and a primary assist on Nikita Kucherov's game-tying goal in the third.
The Bolts will now make their third trip north of the border back to Toronto for a winner-take-all Game 7 at Scotiabank Arena on Saturday.

With the teams skating 4-on-4 late in the first period, Alexander Kerfoot made an ill-advised drop feed to no one in the neutral zone that was easily intercepted by Ondrej Palat. With time and space on the right wing, Palat snapped off a shot that Jack Campbell could only get a piece of on its way into the net.

Another neutral zone turnover wound up in the back of Toronto's net and this time came with the Bolts shorthanded. Anthony Cirelli intercepted the pass and busted down the right wing. With Mark Giordano on his back, Cirelli pulled up and fired home a spinning shot to double Tampa Bay's lead.

11:40 Auston Matthews (4) - Mark Giordano, William Nylander
The Lightning's two-goal lead lasted less than a minute before Auston Matthews tipped home his fourth goal of the series. Giordano fired a shot from the point that appeared to be headed wide, but Matthews' tip brought it back on frame and past Andrei Vasilevskiy.

John Tavares' shot from the left wing was fought off by Vasilevskiy, but the rebound popped into the air and bounced found the back of the net to tie the game.

A disastrous final minute of the period wrapped up with Tavares' go-ahead goal inside of the final 10 seconds. William Nylander drove down the left wing and dished back to Tavares, who had pulled up inside the face-off circle, for a shot that beat Vasilevskiy.

9:20 Nikita Kucherov (2) - Brayden Point, Steven Stamkos - PPG
The Lightning did exactly what they needed to do after back-to-back high-sticking penalties on David Kampf and Kerfoot gave them 1:45 of 5-on-3 time. Tampa Bay was patient and worked it to Nikita Kucherov at the right circle for a shot that he whipped through traffic past Campbell for the equalizer.

By no means was it the prettiest goal Brayden Point's ever scored, but it's certainly one of the most important. Alex Killorn's shot from the slot was disrupted but still got through to Campbell. Point was lurking in front of the net and managed to jam it over the line to keep Tampa Bay's season alive.
