Storytime with the LA Kings, a summer read-a-long series at libraries in the greater Los Angeles area, concluded last week at Cypress Park Branch Library.

Over a three month span, nearly 30 libraries enjoyed a reading of "B is for Bailey," the new illustrated, Kings-themed book that teaches children the A-Z's of hockey.

"We look forward to visiting LA area libraries each summer. It's great to be able to see our fans in the offseason and we were so excited to be able to preview our new children's book," said Amanda Ellis, Director of Community Relations and the Kings Care Foundation.

Visits also included special appearances from Bailey and the LA Kings Ice Crew.

"We are committed to promoting literacy by making reading fun for all kids. It is our hope that these library visits and 'B is for Bailey' continue to fuel children's love of reading," Ellis added.

Storytime with the LA Kings debuted in 2009 with just five library visits. The reading series now reaches nearly 500 children throughout the greater Los Angeles area each summer.
