The LA Kings will conduct a ribbon-cutting ceremony to commemorate the installation of a new LA Kings Hall of Fame at Crypto.com Arena on Tuesday, October 6 at 6 p.m. PT, in advance of their 2026-27 season home opener vs Florida at 7 p.m. The new permanent structure, located on the building’s main concourse adjacent to the Team LA store, celebrates the individual legacies and contributions of notable players, staff, and broadcasters from throughout the first 60 years of Kings history.

This museum display will include artifacts from the team’s 60-year history, plaques honoring each of the individual members of the Hall of Fame, and a new interactive set for fans to take photos alongside the likenesses of team icons from throughout the Kings’ storied past.

The existing class of the LA Kings Hall of Fame is highlighted by several players whose numbers currently hang in the rafters of Crypto.com Arena, including six former team captains and six members of the Hockey Hall of Fame. These individuals have been honored and recognized throughout the years as members of the Kings Hall of Fame and will now be permanently memorialized in this new structure.  The full class of members is as follows:

  • Rob Blake
  • Dustin Brown
  • Peter Demers (Trainer)
  • Marcel Dionne
  • Wayne Gretzky
  • Butch Goring
  • Anze Kopitar
  • Bob Miller (Broadcaster)
  • Luc Robitaille
  • Dave Taylor
  • Rogie Vachon

Artifacts and memorabilia on display will rotate on a regular basis, showcasing the Kings’ extensive archival collections in partnership with Heritage Werks Inc. and the Hockey Hall of Fame. Initial items on display include pucks from Luc Robitaille’s record-setting goal and final hat trick, Dave Taylor’s game-used stick from his 300th career goal, letters from President Barack Obama to the Kings, and more.

In addition to the Hall of Fame, the LA Kings announced that they will be creating a Hall of Fame Selection Committee.  This committee will be announced at a later date but will include a chairman and a board of members comprised of former players, executives, broadcasters, employees, and members of local television, radio and print media, all of whom have covered the team on an annual basis.

The committee will establish a criteria for membership consideration and will meet annually to consider new inductees each year.  Among the criteria for consideration are career statistics, playoff performance, longevity and consistency, legacy and off-ice contributions, team contributions, and league and team awards and recognition.

Further details regarding the Selection Committee will be released at a later date.
