It was a sunny afternoon in Colorado Springs, CO as the LA Kings pulled up to the Air Force Academy. In preparation for the Stadium Series against the Colorado Avalanche, they hosted a practice to familiarize themselves with the conditions, then spent some quality time skating with friends and family.
Because, what better way to spend Valentine's Day?

It was a brisk 35 degrees at the time the Kings took the ice, but they didn't seem to mind. "The cold air gets you a little bit," Austin Wagner said. "But that's what makes it fun."
"It was fun to get out there," Adrian Kempe said. "It wasn't as cold as I though it was going to be."

The practice was also a chance for the players to get used to their new uniforms, which included silver chrome buckets. Which, we have to admit, look pretty slick.

Though the game will be unique in every way, it's still a regular season matchup between two western conference teams who are competing for two points.
"You look at the last game against Calgary and it was a big team win for us," Austin Wagner said. "We want to get two points and we want to keep winning."
Coverage for the game begins at 5 pm on NBC. Or, if you're in Los Angeles, attend the
official Kings watch party at Proud Bird
