On March 5, during the LA Kings game against Montreal Canadiens, the team celebrated International Women's Day at STAPLES Center.
The Kings celebrated women working within the organization as well as the individuals, partners and organizations which surround it.

As part of the Kings' efforts to honor the incredible social, cultural, economic and political achievements of women, while also campaigning for greater progress towards gender equality, the team presented a check for $10,000 to the Downtown Women's Center.
Serving more than 4,000 women annually, the Downtown Women's Center has provided housing, workforce development and supportive services to women experiencing homelessness across Los Angeles County since 1978.

Martha Saucedo, Executive Vice President of External Affairs for AEG, Jennifer Pope, VP of Community Relations, Kings Care Foundation and Team Services and Ines Kopitar, wife of LA Kings Captain Anze Kopitar came together to represent the Kings and present the check.
