The Kings capped off a seven-game homestand against the Pittsburgh Penguins last night, winning the game 6-2 in eventful fashion. Most notably, Dustin Brown scored his 700th career goal on the power-play in the second period, giving the kings 2-1 lead at the time. Kings 2019 second-round draft pick Samuel Fagemo also made his NHL debut, posting one shot and one block in 11:54 TOI.
Things got fun in the third period. After surrending the game's tying goal just 1:37 into the final stanza, the Kings responded immediately with two goals in 10 seconds just 1:30 later and then a third goal :43 seconds after that. Mikey Anderson gave the Kings the lead at 3-2, scoring his first goal of the season followed by Viktor Arvidsson's ninth goal of the season and Anze Kopitar's 11th on the year. Sean Durzi then sealed the game with 1:40 remaining, scoring his second goal of his season and his career, giving him three points (a career high).
