PROJECTED LINES:
Back-To-Back For the Blue Jackets:
The Blue Jackets are coming in on the tail end of a back-to-back stretch after playing in Detroit on Friday night. Columbus is 8-2-3 overall in their back-to-back contests this season, including 2-1-3 on the second night.
Playing both nights of a back-to-back hasn't fazed Sergei Bobrovsky, who is 2-1-1 in the second night with an impressive 1.52 goals-against average, .950 save percentage and two shutouts\. UPDATE: Bobrovsky is startin in net for the Bue Jackets, but the Islanders shouldn't expect any fatigue from the former Vezina Trophy winner. \stats courtesy of Islanders radio color commentator Greg Picker.
They Said It:
John Tavares on the Islanders' play of late: "We're certainly finding ways to win, we're playing better hockey, but there's no question that there's more to our game that can be better and more productive. We can't complain or overlook the results we've done a lot of good things against some really good teams as well. You can see things really start to fall together everyone falling into the systems and playing to the identity we see within our group and that's kind of carrying over. Without even thinking about it you feel better about yourself and things just seem to happen a bit easier; you're in the right spots, handing the puck a little better. Things are snowballing in the right direction and we want to keep it going.
