NCAA UPDATES:

MIRAGEAS AND SONG EARN AT-LARGE BIDS TO TOURNAMENT:
Benjamin Mirageas and the Providence Friars (22-11-6) earned an at-large bid to the 2019 NCAA tournament. The No. 4 seeded Friars will face the No. 1 seeded Minnesota State Mavericks in the East Regional on March 30 at 1 p.m. In his sophomore season with the Friars, Mirageas has compiled 13 points (2G, 11A) through 39 games played.
The Cornell Big Red (20-10-4) drew the No. 3 seed in the East Regional and will play No. 2 seed Northeastern. Defenseman Andong Song has suited up once for the Big Red this season against Colgate on Jan. 26.
FULL NCAA TOURNAMENT BRACKET
WAHLSTROM, BOSTON COLLEGE LOSE HOCKEY EAST FINAL:
Oliver Wahlstrom and Boston College lost 3-2 to Northeastern in the Hockey East championship on March 23 and will miss the 2019 NCAA Tournament. Wahlstrom scored a power-play goal in the Hockey East title game but the Eagles were unable to overcome a three-goal deficit. Wahlstrom finished his rookie season with 19 points (8G, 11A), including two power-play goals and one game-winning goal through his 36 games played.
COCKERILL, BOSTON UNIVERSITY LOSE HOCKEY EAST SEMIS:
The season ended for the Boston University Terriers (16-18-4) at the hands of a 2-1 overtime loss to Northeastern on March 22 in the Hockey East semifinals. Sophomore Logan Cockerill finished the season with 11 points (4G, 7A) in his 37 appearances this season.


JUNIOR PLAYOFFS:

DURANDEAU, HALIFAX TRAIL 2-0 VS QUEBEC:
Arnaud Durandeau and the Halifax Mooseheads trail the Quebec Remparts 2-0 in their best-of-seven first-round series.
Halifax entered the QMJHL playoffs as the top seed in the Eastern Conference and are now on upset watch after dropping their first two games at home. The series shifts to Quebec for Games 3 and 4 on Tuesday and Thursday night.
Durandeau scored a pair of goals in Halifax's 5-4 OT loss in Game 2, his only points in the series so far.
DOBSON, ROUYN-NORANDA TIED 1-1 WITH SHAWINIGAN:
Noah Dobson and the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies are tied 1-1 with the Shawinigan Cataractes in their best-of-seven first-round series.
Dobson, the Isles 2018 first-round pick (12th overall), has four assists in the first two games, dishing a pair of helpers in both a 4-1 win in Game 1 and a 4-3 loss in Game 2. Dobson leads the Huskies in points through two games and is in an 11-way tie for the QMJHL playoff scoring lead.
The series shifts to Shawinigan for Games 3 and 4 on Tuesday and Wednesday.

WILDE & JENKINS LEADING SAGINAW TO 2-0 LEAD OVER SARNIA:
Bode Wilde has four points (2G, 2A) and Blade Jenkins has a goal as the Saginaw Spirit lead the Sarnia Sting 2-0 in the OHL's Western Conference quarterfinals.
Wilde recorded a goal and an assist in both of Saginaw's wins, a 6-3 victory in Game 1 and a 5-1 win in Game 2. Jenkins scored his lone goal in the series opener. Wilde, the Isles 2018 second-round pick (41st overall), leads Saginaw defensemen with four points and is tied for the OHL playoff lead in goals by d-men.
The series shifts to Sarnia for Games 3 and 4 on Tuesday and Thursday.


KHL PLAYOFFS:

SOROKIN ADVANCES TO THIRD ROUND:
Ilya Sorokin and CSKA Moscow advanced to the third round of the KHL playoffs after beating HC Dynamo in five games.
Sorokin and co. clinched their series win on Thursday with a 3-2 win over Dynamo. Sorokin played all five games of the series and is 8-1-0 in nine playoff games with a 1.00 GAA, a .950 SV% and two shutouts.
CSKA will play SKA St Petersburg in the KHL Western Conference Final beginning on Thursday at 12:30 p.m. eastern time. This is the second straight season CSKA and SKA have met in the conference finals. CSKA won in six games last season.
Sorokin is looking to advance to the Gagarin Cup Finals for the third time in four seasons.
GOLYSHEV, AVTOMOBILIST ELIMINATED IN FIVE GAMES:
Anatoly Golyshev and Avtomobilist were eliminated in five games by Salavat in the second round of the KHL playoffs.
Golyshev, the Islanders' 2016 third-round pick (95th overall), finished the series with one assist in five games, and finished the playoffs with five points (2G, 3A) in nine games overall
