ISLANDERS NOTES:
Thomas Hickey (upper body) was placed on IR, retroactive to Dec. 17. Devon Toews was recalled from the Bridgeport Sound Tigers, his first-career NHL callup. - The Islanders have won three straight games, including back-to-back wins on Monday and Tuesday against Colorado and Arizona, respectively. The three-game winning streak is the Islanders longest since a five-game run from Oct. 27 to Nov. 3. - The Islanders have allowed two goals through the first two games of their four-game road trip. The Islanders have allowed 93 goals total (including shootout winners), tied for the fourth-fewest in the NHL and second-fewest in the Eastern Conference. - The Islanders (38 points) are five games above NHL .500 for the first time this season. They are currently tied for third place in the Metropolitan Division. - Robin Lehner made 36 saves on Tuesday night to earn his first win since Oct. 30. - Anthony Beauvillier has four goals in his last five games. Beauvillier and Brock Nelson are both tied for second on the Islanders with 11 goals this season, one behind team leader Anders Lee. - Ryan Pulock has four assists in his last two games and now leads all Islanders defensemen with 14 points (2G, 12A) this season. - Last season, the Islanders won their inaugural trip to T-Mobile Arena, beating the Golden Knights 2-1.
GOLDEN KNIGHTS NOTES:
The Golden Knights are 10-3-1 at home this season. Vegas has won five straight games on home ice. - Vegas is coming off a 1-0 shutout loss to the Columbus Blue Jackets on Monday night. The Golden Knights are 3-1-1 in their last five games. - Marc-Andre Fleury leads the NHL in wins (19) and shutouts (5) this season. Fleury is 19-10-2 with a 2.58 GAA and a .907 SV%. - Jonathan Marchessault leads the Golden Knights with 27 points. William Karlsson leads the team with 13 goals and Reilly Smith leads Vegas with 17 assists. - The Golden Knights (40 points) are currently in the first wild card spot in the Western Conference.
