RALEIGH, N.C. - Mike Sundheim, Vice President of Communications for the National Hockey League’s Carolina Hurricanes, today announced that the team has partnered with Cox Media Group and Gray Media to simulcast 10 Hurricanes Hockey Network (HHN) game broadcasts over the air in markets throughout the Carolinas. The package will begin on October 2 in conjunction with the launch of HHN, before shifting to “Saturday Night Hockey” from December through April. The team had previously announced that WRAL and Fox 50 would air the 10 games in the Raleigh market.
"We are grateful to Cox Media Group and Gray Media for giving us the opportunity to reach fans over-the-air throughout the Carolinas," said Sundheim. "There is nothing like the excitement of Saturday night Hurricanes hockey at Lenovo Center, and we can’t wait to bring that energy into more people’s living rooms."
Cox Media Group will launch its partnership with the team by airing Friday night's game against the Washington Capitals on WAXN TV 64 in the Charlotte market.
