Pierre McGuire To Host "Round Table Rally" On June 21 At T-Mobile Arena

VEGAS (June 15, 2017) -Longtime NHL broadcaster and television analyst Pierre McGuire has been named the host of the Vegas Golden Knights "Round Table Rally" fan celebration, which will take place at T-Mobile Arena on Wednesday, June 21 immediately after the televised portion of the 2017 NHL Awards™ and NHL Expansion Draft™ presented by T-Mobile concludes. The "Round Table Rally" will be a celebration and recap of team's initial roster reveal.
"I am honored and excited to help usher in the arrival of the Golden Knights," said Pierre McGuire. "The expansion draft is an important part of building a great brand. Like all fans of the NHL, I cannot wait to see the array of players that will make up the inaugural line up of the Golden Knights."
The "Round Table Rally" will be highlighted by a special Expansion Draft analysis led by McGuire, featuring Golden Knights Chairman and CEO Bill Foley, General Manager George McPhee, select newly named Golden Knights players, hockey operations personnel and other front office staff members. Fans will have the unique opportunity to take part in a question and answer session to hear directly from the Golden Knights in person. Televised live in the United States on NBCSN and in Canada on Sportsnet at 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT, the 2017 NHL Awards™ will showcase hockey and Hollywood's biggest stars with the excitement and energy that only Las Vegas can provide. As part of the program, the Golden Knights' 30 selections in the NHL Expansion Draft™ will be revealed, providing the home fans - and national viewing audience - the opportunity to learn the initial composition of the team's roster. The show will highlight Foley and McPhee, as well as select players chosen by the Golden Knights, who begin NHL play in 2017-18.
The 2017 NHL Awards™ will again honor the top individual regular-season performances in a wide range of categories, including most valuable player (Hart Trophy), outstanding goaltender (Vezina Trophy), outstanding defenseman (Norris Trophy) and outstanding rookie (Calder Trophy). The Ted Lindsay Award, which is presented annually to the "most outstanding player" in the NHL as voted by fellow members of the National Hockey League Players' Association (NHLPA), also will be awarded.
