1. Fleury approaches 400
With Saturday's win, Marc-Andre Fleury is now just one win away from 400 NHL career wins. He would be come just the 13th NHL goaltender to reach 400 wins. Though he missed 25 games early in the season, he's had one of the best years of his career. Through 36 games, he has a 24-9-3 record. Fleury has been spectacular all trip, including a shutout performance against the Detroit Red Wings.
2. Wrapping up the trip
The Golden Knights have gone 3-1-0 through four games on their East Coast swing. Vegas is 12 points ahead of the second-place San Jose Sharks and they look to further solidify their place on top of the Pacific. After tonight, they have 10 games left to play in March, eight of which are at home. Finishing the road trip with a win will help to set the tone going into the last weeks of the regular season.
3. Ties to Philly
Pierre-Edouard Bellemare made his return to the Golden Knights lineup when the team faced the Columbus Blue Jackets on March 6 after being out with injury. Tonight, Bellemare returns to Philadelphia for the first time since he was selected by Vegas in the expansion draft. Bellemare spent his three previous NHL seasons with the Philadelphia Flyers.
"It's kind of a hard feeling to describe really," Bellemare said. "In the league, a lot of business is involved and a lot of statistics involved. With all of those points still I got feedback from people that were supporting me or loving me for the work I was doing. Barely anything bad to say about this place. I've had just an unbelievable time. So, it's exciting."
