Nostalgia will be in the air today as the Ducks finish off their five-game road trip against the New York Islanders. That's because the site of the game isn't in Brooklyn at Barclays Center where the Islanders have played since the 2015-16 season. Instead, it'll be at the iconic Nassau Coliseum where the Islanders called home from 1972 to 2015. This season, the Isles split their home games between the two venues and will do so until at least 2021.

The Ducks enter today's contest riding a two-game winning streak with victories over the Minnesota Wild (3-0) and New Jersey Devils (3-2). They've gone 2-1-1 over the first four games of this trip and have earned five of a possible eight points. This is the finale of a two-game season series between the two clubs, which saw the Ducks take the opener by a 4-1 score on October 17 at Honda Center.
Anaheim has won the last three games against New York to match its franchise best win streak against the Isles set Jan. 6, 2012-Dec. 21, 2013. Along with victories in three straight, the Ducks are riding a five-game point streak against the Isles (3-0-2). Ryan Getzlaf leads active Ducks in career scoring vs. the Isles with 17 points (5g/12a) in 16 career games.
New York comes in red hot, winners of four straight and 14 of its last 17 overall (14-3-0) - the best stretch for any club since Dec. 15. This is the first time since the 1989-90 season when the Islanders have won 14 of 17. With a 2-0 victory over the Washington Capitals on Friday night, the Islanders (28-15-4, 60 points) moved into first place in the Metropolitan Division for the first time after the midway point of a season since March 10, 2015, and just the second instance since 1990-91.
Mathew Barzal leads the club in points (44) and assists (31), and will represent the Isles at the upcoming NHL All-Star Game. Goaltender Robin Lehner is 10-1-0 in his last 11 games, and has a 14-7-3 record with a league-best 2.11 goals-against average and .928 save percentage.
