The NHL announced that regular-season games scheduled for Monday, Dec. 27 have been postponed, including New Jersey's contest in St. Louis against the Blues. A makeup date is yet to be determined.
The measure was one "in order to allow the League an adequate opportunity to analyze League-wide testing results and to assess Clubs' readiness to play," per league release.
Teams are permitted to return to practice on Dec. 26 and any further updates on the league's return to play will be provided by "the end of day on Sunday."
The Devils next slated game in Dec. 29 at Buffalo.
