The Canucks host the Capitals for their second of a two-game homestand. Following tonight's game, the Canucks embark on a two-game road trip starting Wednesday versus Vegas and concluding Thursday against Arizona.

The Canucks and Capitals play their first of two games this season starting tonight. The Canucks visit the Capital One Arena on Feb. 5.

Tonight marks Erik Gudbranson's 400th career NHL game.

The Canucks play their final road game of a six game road trip tonight in Winnipeg. The Canucks are 3-2-0 on the trip to date. Vancouver is one of two teams this season to record wins in three or more consecutive road games. The Canucks and Jets play their first of three games this season starting tonight. The Canucks welcome the Jets to Rogers Arena on Nov. 19 and Dec. 22.

Tonight also marks Sven Baertschi's 200th NHL game with the Vancouver Canucks.

There's always a silver lining.  

Jay Beagle blocked Mike Hoffman's shot on the penalty kill in the 3rd period during Vancouver's 3-2 win in Florida this past Saturday. Beagle "loves to eat pucks," as he says time and time again, and is proudly covered in bruises, but this one got him good, breaking his forearm, Coach Green revealed Monday.
