Evgenii Dadonov and Jared McCann each scored two goals to help the Florida Panthers defeat the Montreal Canadiens 5-2 at Bell Centre.
Dadonov scored at 4:32 and on the power play at 11:07 for a 2-0 lead in the first period before Matthew Peca brought the Canadiens within 2-1 with a power-play goal at 13:19. McCann scored shorthanded 10:57 into the third period to give Florida a 3-1 lead, and he made it 4-1 at 12:57. Nikita Scherbak scored at 15:58 to pull Montreal to 4-2, but Nick Bjugstad made it 5-2 with an empty-net goal with 52 seconds remaining. Roberto Luongo started and made the save on all 18 shots he faced in the first two periods. Michael Hutchinson made 11 saves in relief. Carey Price made the save on 20 of 22 shots in 31:57 for the Canadiens, and Antti Niemi made 16 saves in relief.
