The Bruins' Diversity and Inclusion Scouting Mentorship Program will provide an opportunity to individuals who have a desire to work in the NHL scouting and hockey operations community, but lack either the access or technical skills to do so. The program will pair the participants with a mentor from the Bruins' Hockey Operations Department for a nine-month period from September 2021 to May 2022. Engaging remotely, the mentees will break down film, participate in monthly virtual study sessions with their mentors and gather for group workshops with fellow program participants and Bruins hockey operations staff. Through hands-on experience, mentorship and networking opportunities, the program will help empower the mentees and diversify the pool of candidates for future scouting and hockey operations positions.
