BOSTON - The Boston Bruins announced today, December 16, a series of holiday initiatives to support the local community.

Boston Bruins Players Hospital Donation
The Boston Bruins players are gifting mobile robots that will allow them to visit children in local Boston hospitals while in-person visits are prohibited. These robots will be used by the hospitals to allow Bruins players, other Boston athletes or any individual to visit with patients in the local hospitals who are unable to have in-person visitors. In addition to the players support, the Boston Bruins Foundation is also supporting these local Boston Hospitals with a donation.
Boston Bruins Players Holiday Hospital Visit
The Boston Bruins players will conduct their annual Holiday Hospital Visit virtually on Friday, December 18. Bruins players will host a zoom call with kids at local Boston hospitals. The players will sing Christmas Carols and play games to help lift the patient's spirits this holiday season.
Boston Bruins Players Adopt-A-Family
This holiday season, Boston Bruins players are adopting local Massachusetts families in need. Bruins players will be personally purchasing and shipping gifts to their chosen family. The families have been selected by Wonderfund, a private non-profit organization that works on behalf of children engaged with the Massachusetts Department of Children and Families.
Providence Bruins Kids Club Gingerbread House Event
On Wednesday, December 16 at 1:30 p.m., the Boston Bruins will host a virtual Gingerbread House building event for Bruins Academy Kids Club members. Kids will be joined by the NHL's Most Valuable Teacher of the Year, Joan Kilban and Providence Bruins forward Brendan Woods. Participants will be able to build your own gingerbread house at home along with the player, hear about their experience as members of the team and ask questions during the session for the chance to have them answered live.
