BOSTON - The Boston Bruins announced today, March 18, a partnership with Therabody™, formerly known as Theragun®, to become the team's official recovery partner, exclusive percussive therapy partner and exclusive pneumatic compression therapy partner. The partnership - the first between Therabody™ and any NHL team - will provide Boston Bruins players and staff education on the benefits of activation and recovery using Theragun Percussive Massage Therapy devices to maximize player performance and training

"We are extremely excited to have Therabody as the official recovery partner of the Boston Bruins," said Bruins Director of Performance and Rehabilitation, Dr. Paul Whissel. "Their state-of-the-art percussive therapy and pneumatic compression technology will provide our athletes the best tools on the market to rejuvenate their bodies, which is critical to performance and overall wellness."

Inside the Bruins Warrior Ice Arena practice facility, there is a co-branded Theragun Recovery Station that provides players and trainers with premium access to the first-of-its-kind Smart Percussive Therapy™ device, the Theragun PRO™, as well as the smart vibrating foam roller Wave Roller™ - both Bluetooth® enabled to pair seamlessly with the Therabody app.

The Bruins will be integrating Therabody's Pneumatic Compression technology RecoveryPump into the team's post-game and post-workout recovery, and will also be provided with Theragun Percussive Massage Therapy Devices to be used in warm-up, in-game, and post-game recovery to help improve athletic performance.

"Hockey is known for being one of the most physically demanding contact-sports, making effective training and recovery that much more important," explains Dr. Jason Wersland, Founder and Chief Wellness Officer of Therabody. "The Boston Bruins are recognized for their agility and strength on the ice, and we're honored to be integrating our devices and research into their wellness routine. I'm looking forward to not only helping them optimize their skills on the ice, but ensuring that they're effectively taking care of themselves while off of the ice."

Theragun's unique family of percussive massage therapy devices are designed for everyday use and everyone's needs of both athletes and individuals alike, including the Boston Bruins players, coaches, and staff.
