Atkinson Records Hat Trick Against Hurricanes

Cam Atkinson's first goal at PNC Arena showed his incredible shooting ability. The goal extended his scoring streak to a career-high four games. With Artemi Panarin drawing attention behind the net, Atkinson was able to set up in the slot and blast one through Scott Darling.
The second goal of the night showed Atkinson's patience. Another excellent pass from Panarin found Atkinson's stick and he crossed the crease to slide the backhand by Darling to score another one in for the 2-0 lead.

To complete the hat trick, Atkinson used his awareness on the power play. As Alex Wennberg gathered the puck below the net, Atkinson found a crease, stepped down from the blue line and blasted a slap shot from the top of the right circle to give the Blue Jackets a 4-1 lead.
