GREENE'S FIRST OF THE YEAR

Ryan Greene gave the Blackhawks an early spark, opening the scoring 2:34 into the first period.

Greene finished off a setup from Andrew Mangiapane, who returned to the lineup after being activated from injured reserve on Friday, and Kevin Korchinski to stake Chicago to an early 1-0 lead.

The tally marked Greene's first goal of the season and third point of the year following 29 points (12G, 17A) last season.

KANTSEROV STRIKES IN THE SECOND

Roman Kantserov pulled the Blackhawks even midway through the second period, scoring his fourth goal of the season to tie the game at 2-2.

The rookie forward finished off a setup from Patrick Kane and Connor Bedard for Chicago's second goal of the afternoon. The tally came just over a week after Kantserov recorded the first multi-goal game of his NHL career against the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Kane's assist was the 898th of his NHL career, leaving him two shy of becoming the first American-born player and 21st player in league history to reach 900 assists. Bedard's helper gave him points in four of his first five games since returning to the lineup.
