AGAINST WASHINGTON

The Blackhawks travel to Washington D.C. to take on the Capitals on Saturday night. Saturday's game will be the first of two meetings between the clubs this season. Chicago went 1-1-0 against the Capitals during the 2024-25 season. Forward Andre Burakovsky has notched six points (1G, 5A) in 10 career games against Washington. As a former Capital, Burakovsky helped the club to a Stanley Cup Championship in 2018 and posted 18 points (9G, 9A) in 56 career postseason games with the Capitals. He was drafted by Washington in the first round (23rd overall) in the 2013 NHL Draft and recorded 145 points (62G, 83A) in 328 regular-season games with the club from 2014-19.

The Blackhawks defeated the Dallas Stars, 4-3, on Thursday night at United Center. Ilya Mikheyev scored two goals while Ryan Donato posted two assists and four hits. Andre Burakovsky also recorded two assists. Artyom Levshunov and Teuvo Teravainen each found the back of the net. Tyler Bertuzzi, Matt Grzelcyk and Connor Murphy each tallied an assist as Colton Dach led all skaters with five hits. Ryan Greene went 10-for-16 (62.5%) in the faceoff circle. Spencer Knight made 22 saves for his 11th win of the season. Chicago went 1-for-1 (100%) on the penalty kill and 2-for-4 (50%) on the power play.

BACK TO THE ROAD

Chicago went a perfect 4-for-4 (100%) on the penalty kill against Dallas on Saturday and have gone 12-for-13 (92.3%) on the kill over their last three road games. The Blackhawks have posted a 30.0% (9-for-30) power play percentage over their last 11 road games dating back to Nov. 5, which ranks fifth in the league over that span.

HEY MICKEY!

Chicago forward Ilya Mikheyev tied a career-high with two goals on Thursday night, marking his third multi-goal game of the season and the 10th of his career. His three multi-goal outings are tied for second on the team and are the most he’s recorded in a single season. Mikheyev now has four goals over his last four games, while shares fifth on the Blackhawks with eight goals in 36 games this season.

DO'S AND DONATO'S

Forward Ryan Donato notched two assists against Dallas on Thursday and now has four points (1G, 3A) over his last six games. He shares third on the club with nine goals in 40 games this season and is one goal shy of notching double digit goal totals for the sixth time in his NHL career. Donato also ranks seventh on the team with 17 points and is three points shy of logging his seventh-straight season with 20 or more points.
