The Colorado Avalanche look to respond and extend their best-of-seven series lead over the Tampa Bay Lighting in Game 4 of the 2022 Stanley Cup Final as the series continues in Tampa Bay. The two clubs clash on Wednesday night at the Amalie Arena with a 6 p.m. MT puck drop scheduled.
In Game 3 on Monday night, the Avalanche suffered their first road loss during the postseason by a 6-2 score to Tampa Bay. Gabriel Landeskog scored Colorado's two goals, both of which were on the power play. Darcy Kuemper started the game and made 17 saves on 22 shots through 31:11 minutes before he was pulled in the second period. In relief, Pavel Francouz made nine saves on 10 shots through 26:56 minutes.
For Tampa Bay, Anthony Cirelli, Ondrej Palat (1G, 1A), Nick Paul, Steven Stamkos (1G, 1A), Patrick Maroon (1G, 1A), Corey Perry (power play) scored. Nikita Kucherov and Victor Hedman each recorded two assists. Andrei Vasilevskiy made 37 saves on 39 shots in the win.
