Philipp Grubauer St. Louis Blues 2021 January 15

The Colorado Avalanche looks to build on it 7-3 victory against the San Jose Sharks from Tuesday night when the two teams meet again at Ball Arena this evening to close out their two-game series.
Colorado has won two in a row and has outscored its opponents 15-3 in its last two home games. Dating back to last season, the Avs have won three consecutive outings against the Sharks, the first time the team has accomplished that feat since winning seven straight from Jan. 19, 2002 to Nov. 11, 2003.

Goaltender Philipp Grubauer will make his fourth straight start in net for the Avalanche after making 27 saves in Tuesday's victory.
Avs head coach Jared Bednar said following today's optional morning skate that the team will use the "exact same" lineup as it did in the first contest against the Sharks.
The Avalanche made a roster swap on Wednesday involving its Taxi Squad, recalling Logan O'Connor from the American Hockey League's Colorado Eagles while reassigning Martin Kaut. The Eagles opened their 2020-21 training camp on Monday.
Below is the Avalanche's projected lineup for the series finale versus the San Jose. All forward combinations and defensive pairings are subject to change.
