The Colorado Avalanche's season opener against the St. Louis Blues will be broadcasted as part of a tripleheader on NBCSN following NBC Sports' announcement on Tuesday afternoon of a portion of its national television schedule for the 2020-21 campaign.
Game time for the Jan. 13 matchup between the Avalanche and Blues at Ball Arena is set for 8:30 p.m. MT and is one of the five nationally televised games in the U.S. that Colorado will initially play.

Included in part of this first schedule release by NBC Sports are two games that will have the Avs featured on NBC network television: Feb. 20 at home against the Vegas Golden Knights at 1 p.m. MT and April. 24 at St. Louis at 1 p.m. MT.
Colorado is also currently scheduled for two Sunday Night Hockey broadcasts on NBCSN, with the team playing at Vegas on Feb. 14 and hosting the Los Angeles Kings on March 14.
NBC Sports will announce remaining game times and its complete 2020-21 regular season broadcast schedule soon, which will include approximately 100 total games. All contests on NBC and NBC Sports can be streamed online at NBCSports.com and on the NBC Sports app (blackouts could apply).
The Avalanche's full regular-season broadcast schedule on Altitude TV will be announced at a later date.
