Dallas Stars defense prospect Miro Heiskanen continues to rack up the goals and points in Finland's top league.
Heiskanen, the Stars' first-round pick (third overall) in the 2017 draft, scored two goals and added an assist in three games the past week, giving him eight points (four goals, four assists) in eight games since returning from a concussion that sidelined him the first eleven games of the season.

The 18-year-old scored his third goal of the season Wednesday, tallying from the top of the left circle in HIFK's 5-1 win over KalPa. He also had an assist in that game. On Friday, he circled behind the net and scored from just above the goal line in a 3-2 win over HPK.
Despite missing the first 11 games of the season, Heiskanen is tied for fourth in goals among league defensemen. His 23:27 of ice time per game is tops on HIFK and ranks eighth among all players in the league.
On Monday, Heiskanen was named to Finland's roster for the Karjala Cup, a tournament that is part of Finland's process for selecting teams for the 2018 Olympics and 2018 World Championship. The tournament, which will feature teams from Finland, Sweden, Switzerland, and Canada, will be played Nov. 8-12 in Helsinki, Finland and Biel, Switzerland.
