Brent Burns Matthew Tkachuk

Leave it to Brent Burns to finding the good in having his stick stolen.

Burns and Matthew Tkachuk exchanged sticks after the Calgary Flames forward stole the Norris Trophy winner's stick during their game Jan. 11, and Tkachuk shared the funny message that Burns signed for him Thursday.

Tkachuk was given a minor penalty for interference after he took Burns' stick and didn't give it back to him during the Flames game against the San Jose Sharks in Calgary. Sportsnet has been counting down the top 100 plays of the 2016-17 season, and it was revealed Thursday that Tkachuk's theft ranked No. 61 on the list.
The post caught Burns' eye, which prompted a response.

Burns signed the stick "Didn't even have to steal this one! Good luck and stop blocking my shots!" Good shtick all around.
